Sumner M. Davenport & Associates, LLC is a team of professionals and specialists working together to deliver Web Accessibility education, training and services. This diverse team consists of persons of various abilities and disabilities from around the globe working together to achieve the best solutions for each client.

Each team member brings specialized skills to the table so you get the best we can offer  working with you to design a website with accessibility baked in from the start or remediate one that needs help. 

With over 33% of websites being built on WordPress, we specialize Web Accessibility in sites built on WordPress. As a team, we build, maintain, evaluate and remediate WordPress websites to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) success criterion.

Sumner and various team members are active in accessibility and legal conferences and educational venues, including WordCamp and local WordPress groups where they regularly educate on topics related to conformance issues for WordPress websites.

Sumner Davenport has been building websites and working with digital marketing venues since 1998 and upon being introduced to WordPress in 2008 she focused her efforts on this versatile CMS platform.

Over the years she has actively recruited professionals in various specialties of digital design and technical functionality to become part of her team.

As a specialist in Web Accessibility, Sumner is invited to speak at business, legal and accessibility conferences where she presents to business groups on the Who, What and Why of web accessibility, and she also teaches designers and Do-it-Yourselfers who use WordPress the Why and How to do it correctly from the inception.

Sumner is actively involved with several charitable and accessibility focused organizations. These include: (all links open in new windows) Membership in the Internet Society, Accessibility Standing Group and Special Interest Group (SIG) Accessibility and International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP); Knowbility, Ability First, CASA, The Wellness Community, Pearls of Hope ®, PetOrphans, Special Olympics Southern California, Prevent Child Abuse, Stop Puppy Mills. As a best selling author she donates proceeds from her books to selected charities. She is owned by a rescue dog named Grandpa and his rescue cats, Merlin and Lily.
